This comfortable synthetic bag is a good choice for wet or warm climates. The Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20 is not a particularly warm bag and is heavy and bulky so we would not recommend it for extended backpacking trips. However, it’s a decent price and could be a good choice for car camping trips. It’s also good for your conscience since it’s composed of 96% recycled materials.

The Elite Eco is a roomy and comfortable bag with soft feeling liner materials.
We’d throw this in the car for our weekend camping trips in warm weather.

The Marmot Trestles Elite Eco 20 is EN comfort rated to 20.3 degrees Fahrenheit. We would not want to spend the night out in 20-degree temps in this bag and would recommend not taking it out in below freezing temperatures. The Trestles material seems much less lofty and warm than the other synthetic models we tested which are very lofty and cozy. The Trestles is also quite roomy, a more relaxed mummy shape compared to the other synthetic bags, allowing space for more cold air to warm up. It does have a hood with a draft collar to help keep cold air out.

The Elite Eco weighs in at 2.
75 pounds, one of the heaviest bags in this review. Typically synthetic materials are much heavier than down, which is why we recommend down sleeping bags for activities when you’ll be carrying your bed on your back. Our favorite down models easily weigh in a pound less than the Trestles.
The Trestles exceeds in the comfort department. It is the most comfortable of the synthetic models we tested. It has a relaxed, roomy “mummy” shape that you can move around in freely, and there’s extra room to layer up when it’s cold. We also like that this back has two zippers, one full length and one short, 15-inch zipper that allows you to fold down the front of the bag to free your arms if you want to read a book or move around more, or for extra ventilation on hot nights. We also really like the feel of this bag’s materials — they are very soft.
This bag is quite roomy and allows for space to add extra layers.

The Trestles comes with a compression sack to make it as small as possible and seems to be more compressible than its competitors.
However, it is still one of the largest packages of the bunch because the nature of synthetic materials are just generally less compressible. Down can compress down much smaller, and the models we tested get pretty tiny.

We’ve already mentioned the zippers on both sides, and the soft liner materials which add comfort. We also like the small stash pocket for storing things we may need in the night like a headlamp. It’s also great that this bag comes with a compression sack to make the Trestles more packable. We prefer bags with simple features to save weight.
The Marmot Trestles Elite Eco has several features we like including a stash pocket for you headlamp and double zippers to free your arms.

The Marmot Trestles is one of the cheapest product in this review, so pretty good value as long as you need a sleeping bag for an occasional, short overnight trip, or for plenty of car camping.
If you’re looking for a true backpacking model, though, there are better values out there.
Two of the synthetic bags we tested, the Marmot Trestles and the Mountain Hardwear Lamina.

At a great price, the Trestles Elite Eco 20 is a good choice for comfortable car camping. It will keep you warm at or above freezing temperatures but is not as warm as it’s 20-degree rating. Weighing in at 2.75 pounds we would not recommend carrying this long distances, but its synthetic materials will help keep you warm in damp climates even when it gets wet.

The Oasis Eco instantaneous gas water heater is designed for hot water supply of apartments, private houses and cottages equipped with a chimney.
