After playing, they will put us in places,
Not noticing the petty struggle …

Surprisingly: a woman under a veil is not visible, but she can be recognized by her habits, thoughts, desires. The veil hides her eyes, nose, mouth. The soul remains uncovered. The soul of an oriental woman is clear. Unveiled women are completely different. Their eyes, nose, mouth and other parts of the body are visible. But you will never read the thoughts behind those eyes, even if it seems to you that everything is crystal clear.

We have a saying in our country: “A woman has feathers on her balls.” Mindless creatures must live under supervision, otherwise they will bring trouble to themselves and others. I consider this a wise rule.

However, all this had nothing to do with me. The women were located in the enderun — the inner part of the house. A well-bred man does not talk about them, ask about them, or say hello to them. They are the shadow of a man, even if the man himself feels comfortable in the shadow. This is the right and wise decision. We have a saying in our country: «A woman has a mind — like feathers on an egg.» Mindless creatures must live under supervision, otherwise they will bring trouble to themselves and others. I consider this a wise rule. nine0003

Once upon a time there was a prince. One day he went hunting and released his falcon in pursuit of a black grouse. However, neither the falcon nor the black grouse returned. Then he went in search of them and came across a stream with sulfuric waters, in which a falcon and a black grouse drowned. Thus, the prince discovered sulfur springs and laid the foundation of the city of Tiflis. And now we are in this bath, and Meidan is outside — a grove through which that river flowed. Tiflis began with sulfur, and it will end with sulfur. nine0003

A man should marry, and preferably with a woman he likes. She doesn’t need to love him back. A smart man will not take care of a woman. The woman is but the earth, and the man is the sower. Should the field love the peasant? It is enough that she is loved by the peasant. Get married, but don’t forget: a woman is just earth.

Marriage, said the prince, is based on mutual trust and care of spouses for each other. Husband and wife should always consult with each other and be a support to each other. We must remember that both are free people and completely equal.

To avenge this murder, the king sent a large army to Baku. Gasankuli Khan ordered the city gates to be firmly locked, and he himself hid in the palace, where he spent all his days in prayers, asking Allah for salvation. When the royal troops began to storm the fortress walls, Gasankuli Khan made his way to the sea through an underground passage and fled to Iran. But before he left, he wrote only one phrase on the doors of the underground passage: «Whoever thinks about tomorrow will never become brave.» nine0003

What do I care about the world beyond the mountain range? What do I care about the wars there, the cities, the kings, the people, their worries and joys, their dirt and cleanliness? “We have a beautiful country,” Dodiko said yawning. – There are sulfur springs here, and Tiflis, and war, and Kakheti. Just look how beautiful Alazan is when it flows through the plain. Although Georgia is dying, it is wonderful to be a Georgian. Everything you say here, nothing but hopelessness, does not give rise. Tell me, when was it different in the country of Queen Tamara? Never. And despite this, rivers flow, gardens bloom, and our people dance and have fun. Our Georgia is beautiful and will remain beautiful, despite all the hopelessness. nine0003

“Now she is cursing you,” my father said calmly. All women curse their husbands during childbirth. In the old days, after childbirth, a ram was slaughtered, and the woman sprinkled the bed of her husband and child with its blood in order to expel evil spirits from the house, which she called during childbirth on her husband’s head.
