There is no one’s fault that a person, having lived the time measured out for him in this world, leaves. This is how our world works. And the feeling of guilt before the departed does not help to cope with the loss. But to do everything to preserve the memory of him for many years is the best way to show your love, respect and care. By erecting monuments on the grave and equipping the burial place, we find a quiet corner where we will come for many more years, indulge in memories and prayers alone with a person dear to us.
Confusion and pain from loss are bad advisers when choosing a tombstone. Having significant experience in design development, selection of models and production of tombstones, the Danila-Master company is ready to take the liberty and offer you its own version of the approach to choosing. To do this, let’s ask ourselves a few questions, the answers to which will help to make a conscious choice.
Orders at the cemetery are determined by its administration, with which it will be necessary to coordinate the installation of a monument of a certain size, the possibility of enclosing the burial place with a fence and a number of other requirements.
In old cemeteries, the general style of monuments already erected, the size of the site, the proximity of neighboring stelae and the possibility of installation work must be taken into account.
Starting the selection of options, it is important to decide on the period for which the monument is supposed to be installed. Often in the first year after the funeral, a temporary tombstone is installed on the grave. The meaning of this approach is to decorate the grave and give it a well-groomed appearance during the preparation of the project and the manufacture of a permanent memorial.
Temporary installation is also justified in the case when more than one burial is planned on the site, and another monument will be erected in the future – usually a paired tombstone or a family memorial.
Based on these considerations, materials for the tombstone are also chosen:
Granite or marble chips are the best choice for temporary tombstones. After mixing with cement mortar, it is poured into the selected form, and when the mixture hardens, it is processed. The result is a fairly accurate and cost-effective monument. It will perfectly withstand 2-3 seasons, after which it can be replaced with a permanent one.
Polymer granite is a more durable and beautiful material. A mixture of granite chips with polymer filler lends itself well to grinding and in appearance resembles natural stone. Such a tombstone will last much longer, however, it will fade over time and can be deformed under the influence of temperature.
Natural stone. For a permanent monument, you should choose a durable, durable material, which, after processing and applying a commemorative inscription and portrait, will retain its beauty for centuries. These characteristics fully apply to gabbro-diabase – one of the most durable and beautiful varieties of granite.
Stone-cutters of Danila-Master company have been making tombstones for over 20 years and, not without reason, consider granite the best material for decorating burials.
A wide variety of models presented on the site makes the choice a difficult task. Often the desire to erect a stele that would eclipse all neighboring ones with its splendor leads to the fact that, in the pursuit of ostentatious splendor, they forget about the deceased himself. But the shape of the gravestone, its design, first of all, should reflect the personality of the deceased, his character, aspirations, and age, as well. Close people who knew the deceased well should ask themselves: what monument would he choose for himself?
The answer to this question will help you navigate among the more than 300 models offered by our company.
Strict tombstones of classical rectangular shape, with contours limited only by straight lines, will suit people who have lived a long time, were distinguished by a strict disposition and calm character.
For young people who passed away untimely, curly steles with a beautiful top, with asymmetric protrusions, a combination of smooth curves with short straight edges, are suitable.
In each of the categories presented on the site – economy, standard, premium – you can find a model that will meet your requirements and best suit the character and personality of the deceased.
If you couldn’t find a suitable one among the standard monuments, look at the gallery of author’s works – here you can find the best examples of the work of our designers, sculptors and stone cutters. You can place an order for the manufacture of a tombstone according to an individual sketch or discuss the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating with our specialists.
In combination with the chosen form, the decoration of the tombstone creates that unique individuality that will make it recognizable to all close people. Traditionally used elements such as:
commemorative inscription in special type
hand-drawn or machine engraved portrait on the surface of the stele
carved decorations or religious symbols on the front and back of the stele
lines of poetry or just kind words carved in stone
Due to the natural property of gabbro-diabase, all images and inscriptions stand out against the black background of the stone with tiny white sparks in a contrasting gray color.
